| KinerBumps
KinerBumps are an above-ground product designed to replace existing speedbumps and for use in areas where traffic normally has to slow down to a stop, for example at a parking lot ticket gate. KinerBumps harvest the energy from existing traffic so that it can be used to run, among other things, nearby electrical signage or street lights.
KinerBumps are extremely versatile and can be used in a variety of situations:
- Bus Stops
- School Zones
- Controlled Access Parking Lots
- Drive Through Windows
- Intersections
KinerBumps are also available in a portable design so that this Smart Bump can be moved to different locations if necessary.
A KinerBump with a height of 3.5 inches or 89 mm and a travel length of 4 meters or 13 feet with an additional 2 meters at the entrance and exit of the bump produces 77 kWh of electricity per day when 10,000 cars go over it, assuming vehicles weights of 1,500kg (cars). If all the vehicles are mid -sized SUV’s weighing 1,800kg the humps produce 92 kWh per day.
The average life of a KinerBump with regular maintenance is currently projected to be 10 years.
